Yesterday I kind of went on about getting ready for an event that I have never exposed my products to. Let me kind of summarize what this whole thing is about. GBK Productions hosts the gifting lounges that the Artisan Group participates in. The Artisan Group is ran by Valerie Guerrero and Nikki Cutro who represent a group of lucky artisans by showing a display of our submitted work and gifting presenters, press, nominees, and winners of the event being held. I have over the past few years seen companies who represent artisans at award shows, but I was particularly struck by the sense of community and good will the Artisan Group has.
Anyway, as I had written earlier I was lucky enough to secure a display and gifting spot. The candles were the easy part...the finding of the organza bags, however was amazingly difficult. Finally, after a whole evening of looking for flat bottomed organza bags that were large enough for an 8 oz candle plus a business card and bio card, I happened on Nashville Wraps. Folks, if you ever need something for gifting....these folks are the real deal. I got 120 gold sparkly(but not too sparkly!)organza bags with flat bottoms for a song, and the shipping was super fast...voila! Why it took me a month to label and place all those candles in their organza bags I cannot answer.
Here is my 1/2 page in the Artisan Group flyer that is going to be at the gift lounge:
My only regret and bit of advice for anyone who is contemplating doing something of this magnitude....get a professional picture taken of your display. This is a nice picture, but it looks like I took it with my phone's camera. And...I would have a professional write up my bio. But overall, I'm happy I am a part of something bigger than my little bubble of exposure around here...and I have my fingers crossed that everyone in Hollywood will love my products as much as I do!
By the way, I totally revamped my website: http://www.barefootbathandbody.com
Have a great Holiday!
